Insulated Sandwich Panels is a system of lightweight structural cladding. It is a prefabricated element used to build walls, roofs, partitions from sandwich panels. At the same time, Sandwich Panels are used to build not only walls and roofs, but also entire buildings such as garages made of sandwich panels and pavilions or containers made of sandwich panels. What Is PIR Sandwich Panel
PIR Sandwich Panel or Polyisocyanurate Sandwich Panel are composed of 3 layers, the top layer and bottom layer are corrugated coated Galvanized Steel, stainless steel or Aluminum sheet, and the core is high-density polyisocyanurate foam. Polyisocyanurate also referred to as PIR, polyiso, or ISO is a thermoset plastic typically produced as a foam and used as rigid thermal insulation.
Applications of PIR or PUR Sandwich Panel
PIR and PUR Sandwich Panel or Polyisocyanurate Sandwich Panel is applied as external walls and internal division walls, installed vertically or horizontally on single or multi-span structure. Differences between PIR and PUR
The starting materials of Polyisocyanurate (PIR) are similar to those used in polyurethane (PUR) except that the proportion of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) is higher and a polyester-derived polyol is used in the reaction instead of a polyether polyol. The resulting chemical structure is significantly different, with the isocyanate groups on the MDI trimerising to form isocyanurate groups which the polyols link together, giving a complex polymeric structure.
